A new chapter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, Parpall\u00f3 began a new period. We renovated the interior, updated the kitchen and assembled a team with a clear idea: to take better care of everything that has made this place what it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do not want to erase the past, but rather to build on it: to respect our heritage, to improve what we can, and to prepare Parpall\u00f3 for the years ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new chapter of Parpall\u00f3 is written by our team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 60 years of history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Parpall\u00f3 Restaurant began in 1963. But the history and stories of the place goes back centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long before the restaurant<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

La Drova was originally an agricultural area linked to the monks of Santa Mar\u00eda de la Valldigna. Over time, it became a place for resting and enjoying summertime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearby, the Parpall\u00f3 cave turned the surrounding mountains into a hotspot of Mediterranean prehistory. Between 1929 and 1931, Llu\u00eds Pericot directed his major archaeological campaigns here.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

1963 \u00b7 Maria and Julio<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In 1963, Mar\u00eda Rubiella and Julio Donet took over the management of Bar Parpall\u00f3 and, two years later, acquired the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mar\u00eda brought with her a culinary style that she had learned while living in Gandia: traditional recipes prepared with care - at that time, this was a bit unusual for a small bar in the mountains.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

From Bar Parpall\u00f3 to Ca Maria<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the restaurant also began to be known as Bar de Mar\u00eda and Casa Mar\u00eda. Since La Drova has few places to gather, the house became a meeting point for neighbours, holidaymakers, families and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The food cemented the reputation, the dining experience did the rest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parpall\u00f3 today<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Parpall\u00f3 shines again, while Ca Maria continues to explain where we came from.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
